Nootropics
The Phenilab Nootropics collection brings together compounds that are commonly grouped under the term "nootropics", presented with factual product data, batch documentation and local delivery within the United Arab Emirates. Every product page lists the chemical name, the form and the pack sizes, and links to the Certificate of Analysis (COA) for the current batch.
What does "nootropics" mean?
The word "nootropic" was coined in 1972 by the Romanian chemist Corneliu E. Giurgea, combining the Greek words noos (mind) and tropein (to turn). Today the term is used loosely for a broad and very heterogeneous group of substances, from amino acids and plant extracts to synthetic compounds developed in pharmaceutical research. There is no single legal or scientific definition, which is why we organise our range by chemical class and format rather than by promised effects.
How our range is organised
By compound class
Compounds are grouped by their chemical family, for example GABA analogues such as phenibut (4-amino-3-phenylbutanoic acid). Grouping by structure makes it easier to compare products on objective criteria: chemical name, CAS number, salt form and molar mass.
By format
Where available, products are offered as capsules with a fixed content per capsule, or as powder in jars of a defined net weight. The format and the content per capsule are stated in the product title, on the label and on the product page.
Documentation for every batch
Each batch carries a LOT number. Before a batch is offered, it is tested by an independent laboratory, and the Certificate of Analysis is published on the product page. A COA typically shows the identity of the substance, the measured purity, the test method (for example HPLC) and the date of analysis. Our guide How to Read a Certificate of Analysis explains each part of the document.
What to check before you buy
- Exact substance and salt form, for example phenibut HCl rather than an unspecified "phenibut".
- Content per capsule or net weight, so that products can be compared fairly.
- LOT number and COA, matching the batch you receive.
- Local regulations. The legal status of individual compounds differs between countries, and customers are responsible for complying with the rules that apply to them.
